Large teak printing block for textiles - 16
The engraving of a single stamp can occupy a sculptor for a week. On the piece of teak perfectly flattened and sanded, the drawing is postponed, the work of the sculptor can begin. The wood buffer thus obtained is soaked in oil for two weeks in order to sufficiently feed the wood so that no cracking will alter it and allow better adhesion of the dye
Designation : Old recycled textile print block made of hand carved teak wood. In some cases, 4 to 20 stamps are necessary for a single wall hanging (as many engraved wood blocks as colors). Often, on the back of the block, a handful of wood is added to allow the artisan printer to hold it
Dimensions : 17 x 20 x 4 cm
